The Rabha language is a Tibeto-Burman language spoken mainly in Northeast India — especially in Assam, Meghalaya, and West Bengal — by the Rabha community. This language is not merely a medium of communication; it is an intimate part of the traditions, folk tales, music, narratives, and lifestyle of the Rabha people. As a vibrant thread of rich culture and heritage, the Rabha language adds more color and life to the diverse cultural fabric of the region.
Rabha have several subgroups- Rangdhani, Pati rabha dhahori Rabha,bitliya rabha, maitori, kocha,sunga, totla rabha etc.
